My name is Mellissa Redman and I am a junior at the University of Akron Myers School of Art. My major is Painting and Drawing, and I am currently
pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art. I grew up in Akron, Ohio and I currently live
here as well. I attended Summit Christian School from kindegarten to fifth grade.
From there, I was homeschooled from fifth grade through twelfth grade. In highschool,
prior to making the decision to major in art, i had wanted to be an OB/GYN. I’m glad I
chose what I really had a passion for instead.
